GRANT WRITING ESSENTIALS Workshop- 2:00pm - 5:00pm

This workshop will teach you how to put your best grant forward!   Learn about the types of grants
available to artists of all disciplines.  Find out what the major funding bodies such as the Canada
Council for the Arts, and the CALQ (Conseil des Arts et Lettres du Quebec) are looking for.    This
workshop focuses on how to pitch your passion, using appropriate “grant” language, budgets,
workplan and supporting materials. 

Both sessions will be run by:

June Park is an arts consultant, writer and cultural connector based in Montreal. She has worked in
Montreal for several arts organizations including Youtheatre, Playwrights’ Workshop Montreal and
RUBBERBANDance Group. She sat on the Executive Board of the Quebec Drama Federation as
Treasurer and was Director of Marketing for Opera Ontario/Opera Hamilton, and Development
Associate at the Royal Ontario Museum. She continues to work with various groups committed to
increasing the visibility and integration of culturally diverse artists from all disciplines. June has her
M.A. from the University of Toronto, B.A. from U of Calgary, and studied arts management at the
University of Waterloo, Cultural Careers Council of Ontario. She is currently finishing a manuscript
while working as a freelance grant writer, agent, and arts administrator.
